Advocacy News + Updates

Throughout the month of August, advocates around the country have been meeting with their Senators and Representatives in Congress, asking for their support on the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act (TVPRA). These meetings are crucial in sending a message to Members of Congress that fighting human trafficking is a priority for their constituents.

On September 6, Congress returns to Washington, and we want to make sure the message is still loud and clear: Americans care about ending modern-day slavery and want their elected leaders to care about it too.

Which is why we are organizing the National Call-in Day to Pass the TVPRA on September 8.

We’re looking for 3000 advocates from all 50 states to call their Senators on September and ask for them to cosponsor the TVPRA. Making the call takes just two minutes - check out our quick how-to video! You can find your Senators’ contact information, as well as a sample script on our website to help you make the call.

Commit to call your Senators on September 8, and join the movement to pass the TVPRA!
