Put something on the calendar.

When in doubt, schedule an event! The most successful groups always have an upcoming event to draw new members and retain the interest of existing members.

Delegate group responsibilities.

Don’t feel like you have to do everything yourself! At your very first meeting, try to recruit a co-organizer (or two) to help you plan and host events. Other members can chip in by providing snacks, organizing car-pooling, or whatever else you may need.

Be creative and have fun.

Don’t be afraid to think outside the box or to make mistakes. When something works well, take time to celebrate. (And make sure you let us know about it. Who knows, maybe another group would like to try it, too!)
