What is the 100 Postcard Challenge?

IJM's 100 Postcard Challenge is an easy way for you to get involved in the fight for freedom on behalf of children, women and men enslaved around the world. If you get 100 people to sign IJM's Abolition Postcards, you will: 1) show your Members of Congress that people in your state care about abolishing modern-day slavery, and 2) grow the anti-slavery movement in your state by adding more voices to the cry for justice.

Why Now?

This year, IJM is working hard to generate support for the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act and to protect the critical funds distributed by the State Department's Trafficking In Persons Office - in danger of further cuts. Members of Congress care about what their constituents think. We need your help to send the message: we want to end modern-day slavery in our lifetime!

How Does it Work? 5 Easy Steps:

I will sign up to take the 100 Postcard Challenge.
IJM mails me 100 Abolition Postcards, along with instructions and helpful tips.
From there, I need pledges to sign, pass out and share the postcards in the Loudoun area. I will collect signatures from my friends, family, colleagues, etc.* But I need your help!
Once we have 100 postcards [If enough pledges, we can try or higher numbers] signed, I will mail the postcards back to IJM in the self-addressed envelope that I received with the shipment.
IJM's Government Relations team will then hand-deliver our postcards to our Member of Congress' offices in Washington, D.C.

*Collecting postcards also helps build the anti-slavery movement in Virginia. Signers who are interested in staying in touch with IJM will be kept up to date on future advocacy opportunities and ways to support IJM's mission (those who do not wish to be contacted by IJM can check the opt-out box on the postcard).
